The East Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce performs many ground breaking celebrations. The chamber is happy to provide ground breaking services for any business, anywhere. It is an important service for business and any chamber of commerce can perform these important celebrations.
What the East Valley Chamber of Commerce provides for you prior to the event:
- Schedule the mayor, elected officials, East Valley Ambassadors, East Valley Chamber Board members and members of the business community
- Personal invites to Millcreek Journal and other media about the event.
- Provide a mailing list of chamber members for you to mail invitations. (We recommend a 3-week advance notice for maximum participation)
- 13 GOLD shovels
- Picture taking services with a hi-res (10.1 megapixel) digital camera.
- Video recording service (MPG only) for posting on the chamber's YouTube channel.
What the East Valley Chamber of Commerce provides for you and your business after the event:
- 8.5" color photo for you to frame and hang in your office of the event.
- Submit picture to media outlets for publication (varies by publisher and includes print and/or online)
- Submit picture on the chamber's social media outlets reaching more than 1,000 people.
- Post video on YouTube which also notifies social media followers of the posting.
What you can do to make it successful:
- Send invitations to chamber members in advance of the event.
- Invite family, friends, customers and employees.
- Provide snacks (finger food, water, etc) for guests to celebrate. Costco provides a yummy treat.
- Have prize drawings (if desired)
- Provide tours or an open house (if desired)
- Make it a fun event!!!

To schedule your ground breaking event, please call the chamber office at 801-977-8755 and ask for Jeanie or contact us via email. Best results for scheduling elected officials is three weeks prior to the ribbon cutting.

No charge for members of the East Valley Chamber of Commerce
All other businesses and organizations in Salt Lake County receive the same benefits as members for $99. |
