Event Director - Holly Curby

During her 11 year service in the shopping center industry, Holly Curby has served in a  variety of capacities.  She started her career with Macerich Company in 1997 as a Customer Service Representative at South Towne Center in Sandy, Utah.  After working her way to Customer Service Manager she was promote as Assistant Marketing Manager in 2002 where she took a month leave to work for the International Sports Broadcasting during the 2002 Utah Olympic Winter Games at the hockey games.

In 2001 Ms. Curby was awarded Employee of the Year for the Intermountain Region with the Macerich Company.  She served on the Board of Women in Business in 2004 and was appointed Secretary to the Board in 2005 with the Sandy Chamber of Commerce.  She then served on the Board of Hospitality West in West Valley City, Utah for two years beginning in 2006 and on the committee for Women’s Information Network with ChamberWest in 2007.  She was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award in 2008 presented by the ChamberWest Chamber of Commerce for her dedicated volunteer service to the business community of West Valley City and her participation and support in the chamber.

In 2005 she assumed the position of Marketing Director for Satterfield-Helm Management, Inc. at Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City, Utah.  After welcoming her first child in 2007, Ms. Curby resigned from the shopping center industry to become a stay at home mom, and began working part-time from home for the chamber as their Membership Director and has since became the Events Director.

In her spare time, Ms. Curby enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church and planning Cruise and Disney vacations.  She recently received her Commodore recognition from Princess Cruise Lines and became a Disney Specialist, which indicates an individual who has attained a special knowledge of Disney Destinations (not an agent, affiliate or employee of Disney).  Ms. Curby and her husband welcomed their second child in August.
